I love to write, but even more, I love to write for you. You make my fictional characters come alive and provide them a place to call home in your mind. You give them a voice when you introduce them to your friends, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness in sharing.
In Matters of the Heart,* book 3 in my Discerning God’s Best series, you meet Katie and Hans. Hans struggles to see God in the details because of his skewed perception of a loving God. Katie is too busy moving forward with her plans to stop long enough to hear God’s voice. It surprises both characters how God pursues them.
I prayed long before I wrote this book for you. I prayed God would move in your heart, open your eyes, and increase your awareness of his love for you.
Writing is my ministry, and It’s how I share Christ with those who may never pick up a Bible or step foot inside a church. I also write to encourage those in the Faith to live abundant lives—full of all God desires for us. Writing is also how I work through my heart’s questions and embrace God’s best for me.
I may be an author, but that doesn’t make me immune to hurts, disappointments, and struggles. Being an author allows me to express my heart to anyone willing to read the words I’ve penned. So, thank you for choosing to read one of my stories. I sincerely appreciate your friendship and willingness to take a chance on a new author.
If you haven’t read my Discerning God’s Best series, be sure to start with the free prequel.

“ You make my fictional characters come alive and provide them a place to call home in your mind.” This statement is so true!! They absolutely make themselves at home in my mind and become friends.
Thank you, Elaine.
