Free Spanish Christian Fiction This Week

Over the past few decades, mission trips and ministry work have taken me to more than fifteen countries. An English as a Second Language program I founded eventually reached over thirty-six countries from one small corner of the Carolinas. Airport terminals, beach chairs, and crowded markets across four continents have all crossed my path. Travelers everywhere read on planes, in waiting rooms, and under palm trees. Not once did I see a Christian fiction book in anyone’s hands that was written in their native language.

On the island of Dominica, my sister started a library for the Caribe Indians. The shelves held books in English, French, and other languages, but not one volume sat in the native tongue of the people she served.

Translating every book into every language people speak isn’t possible, but starting somewhere is. Contacts and friendships built through years of ESL ministry led to a second of my novels now translated into Spanish, with a third on the way. Since I do not read or speak Spanish, the project required help from people I trust deeply.

A Translation Made by Real People, Not AI

A former ESL student, Katia Fernandez, translated the story into her native Spanish first. Several individuals then proofed her work line by line. After that, another round of Spanish speakers checked the nuances, since humor and emotional weight rarely survive a straight translation. These readers were real people who cared about getting it right.

The result is Sintoniza la E de Enamorarse, the Spanish translation of Dial E for Endearment. The story follows Everly, a blind radio host who gives relationship advice to callers from a small station in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, all while her own love life sits empty. Her story carries the same message found in the English edition. Jesus Christ offers worth and purpose to people the world tends to overlook.

Why Spanish Reaches So Far

Spanish reaches further than most people realize. Twenty countries claim it as an official language. Remove Spain from that count, and nineteen nations across Latin America and the Caribbean still call it their home tongue, stretching from Mexico down through Argentina and out to islands across the Caribbean. Hundreds of millions of people speak it as a first language, and most live nowhere near Spain. That distinction matters here. This translation follows Mexican and Latin American Spanish, the version most familiar to readers from those countries, not the Spanish used in Spain.

A Free Week Worth Sharing

From July 28 through August 1, Sintoniza la E de Enamorarse is free in eBook format on Amazon. A free week creates a rare opening for readers to hand a quality Christian novel to a Spanish-speaking friend, neighbor, or family member without spending a dollar.

Amazon’s gifting feature only works on books that carry a price, so a free title cannot be “bought” for someone else during the promotion. The easier path works just as well. Send the book link directly by text, email, or social media, and let your friend download a free copy in seconds. (LINKS BELOW) No purchase or Amazon Prime required on either end, and it will be free on all Amazon Marketplaces.

Ways to Share This Free Week

  • Share the book link directly with Spanish-speaking friends, family, coworkers, or ESL students between July 28 and August 1.
  • Post the free week in church groups, Bible study chats, or any Hispanic ministry page you follow.
  • Leave a review in Spanish or English after reading. Reviews help other readers find and trust the book.
  • Mention the title to librarians, pastors, missionaries, or ESL teachers who serve Spanish-speaking communities.
  • Forward this post. A single click can put a Christian novel into hands that have never held one before.

This free week will not fill every gap, but it fills one. If you know someone who reads in Spanish, this is the week to tell them. Associate Link: https://amzn.to/3Sv45QQ
