Spring – a season of new growth

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NIV

Spring is colorful in South Carolina, and it starts earlier than the calendar date of March 20th. The transition from one season to the next blends so smoothly I can easily miss it if I’m not paying attention.

Sometimes I’m not paying attention spiritually, either, and get stuck in a dreary winter mindset.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18 NIV

Winter is the coldest of the four seasons, and cooler weather will come whether or not there is snow. If I don’t let go, I can’t experience the beauty of what will come.

Your season may include hurts, struggles, doubt, or fear, but it is a season. That unusual cold snap after warm days may come but keep looking forward to Spring. Don’t dwell on the past. Watch God turn those wastelands of life into smooth paths and healing streams.

Today I pray your season of life blooms with possibility.

I’ve teamed up with Celebrate Lit’s Hop into Spring Giveaway to give you a chance to win 40 books or a $500 Amazon card to buy whatever you need in this season of life. This giveaway ends on March 18, 2023.
